The University Rey Juan Carlos together with the Asociación Enseñanza Bilingüe is organizing the IV International Conference on Bilingual Education in Educational Institutions (CIEB) that will be held in Madrid on October 20th, 21st and 22th, 2017 , at the Campus of Vicálvaro.
CIEB 2017 aims at bringing Bilingual Education to debate proposing not only to continue analysing its performance, but also advantages and disadvantages, development, management and results, with the aim of helping to find solutions to arising problems and therefore improving the quality of the programmes.
A priority objective is to create a forum for discussion, debate, exchange of ideas and experiences among bilingual education and language teaching professionals, and at the same time, support the thousands of teachers who have fully understood the potential of offering Bilingual Education to their students, and who work tirelessly, striving to acquire the mastery of the language of instruction and the highest possible competences, trying to incorporate the latest technological advances and use in the teaching of Languages.
CIEB 2017 promotes innovation and the presence of national and international experts in the field of bilingualism.
CIEB IV edition offers plenary sessions, communications and workshops. It combines academic and educational aspects and tries to meet the speakers and participants’ expectations. The Conference will be an opportunity to open a broad debate on bilingual teaching which, introduced and led by experts, will allow us to analyse various aspects that are of concern today in order to provide answers and solutions.
The IV Conference on Bilingual Education in Educational Centers, CIEB 2017, is addressed to primary and secondary teachers, university teachers, university students, professionals in charge of education issues, researchers and policy makers interested in bilingual education and language teaching in either state, charter or private schools, in language immersion programmes (CLIL/AICOLE) or in any other type of programmes.
